Ithaca Athena Project

The Athena field will be developed by means of a subsea tie-back to the Bluewater owned FPSO Uisge Gorm which will lie about 2 km South West from the Athena drill centre location

The development allows for up to 5 ESP lifted production wells and 1 water injection well. A ‘ship-shaped’ vessel, the Uisge Gorm owned by Bluewater, will be used for the Athena development.

 

The FPSO will provide the host production operating services for Athena including provision of oil and gas processing (24,000 stb/d and 2 MMscf/d), produced water treatment (20,000 b/d) and disposal, electrical power, subsea control and chemical injection, water injection. Athena well fluids will be processed in the FPSO production facilities, which include a dedicated separator.

 

Production will flow via an 8 inch flowline to a stand alone FPSO where it will be processed in a dedicated Athena separator and processing train. Oil production will be exported via a shuttle tanker. Produced gas will be used as fuel on the FPSO. Electrical power, chemical injection, water injection and control systems will be supplied from the FPSO.
