Marathon Alvheim Development & Volund Projects

The initial Alvheim Development was supported throughout by a key member of the Petrex team. This experience will undoubtedly prove to be invaluable to our customers as we demonstrate our capabilities.

The Alvheim Development was Marathon's operatorship entry to the Norwegian Oil & Gas Sector and comprised:

• Converted FPSO complete with STP buoy and associated moorings
• Installation of multiple production, gas lift and water disposal dynamic flexible risers
• Fabrication and installation of multiple production manifolds, PLEM and riser bases
• Installation of umbilcals, rigid pipelines, spoolpieces to tie-back Boa, Kneler A, Kneler B and East Kameleon drill centres back to Alvheim FPSO
• Installation of transboundary gas export pipeline system and associated Tee structure into the UK sectors SAGE system

Petrex continue to support Marathon during the close out of the Alvheim Development. In addition we continue to support the ongoing Volund Project - a subsea tie-back to the Alvheim FPSO. This support will continue throughout 2008 into 2009 both on and offshore.
